Is Trump right? Is global warming a myth? If it does exist, is it too late to reverse?
Aish Young Professionals in collaboration with MCS and 90 Degrees North is proud to host an evening with Arctic Explorer and climate change campaigner, Pen Hadow.
In 2003, Pen made history by becoming the first person to trek solo to the North Pole. This was followed by the launch of the ground-breaking (literally!) Catlin Arctic Survey - a multinational scientific expedition that ran from 2007-2012 and documented the catastrophic effects of global warming on the polar ice caps and ecosystem. Five years later, Pen piloted a fleet of 50 standard yachts through international Arctic waters; a feat made possible only due to melting ice caps.
Pen regularly advises the United Nation's legislative boards, and his research directly guided the Paris Climate Conference in 2015. Drawing on a lifetime of death-defying exploration, relentless adventure and profound knowledge of Planet Earth, Pen's mission is to raise awareness of how close our planet is to a natural apocalypse.
