It's the Jewish month of Adar and that means one thing, simcha!!
There is a maxim "Mishenichnas Adar Marbim Besimcha" "When Adar arrives we increase our joy." During the month of Adar we should take our happiness to the next level. It is fortuitous time of the Jewish calendar, a time where fortune favours the Jewish people.
This favourable time of year derives from the festival of Purim which falls in the middle of the month.
On Purim we celebrate the saving of the Jewish people from Haman's plot to destroy them. Through the overturning of the plot, where the hangman in essence became the hanged the Jewish people found themselves in a most positive place in Achashverosh's kingdom.
When a Jewish year is a leap year we get double the joy. Instead of one extra day the Jewish calendar adds an extra month, Adar! We end up with Adar I and Adar II. We still only have one Purim itself but a chance to reap the benefits of two Adars.
How can a month be beneficial? Our rabbis teach us that if Jews are facing legal action they should try and schedule it during Adar as it's mazal may help tip the scales of justice in their favour.
Adar is the beginning of the seasons of miracles. We see that the Jewish people were saved from Haman, freed from Egypt and safely passed through the Red Sea. May this Adar be a positive Adar for the Jewish people around the the world and usher in a time of peace and prosperity.
