Welcome to our first Jewish Futures publication. Under the leadership of Rabbi Naftali Schiff we are delighted to be expanding PERSPECTIVES magazine to encompass the other organisations that come under the Jewish Futures banner. I invite you to read through the wonderful content we have compiled for your enjoyment and hope it inspires your chag.

The theme of our Shavuot magazine is Malchut, Kingship. Shavuot is the festival where we celebrate the majesty of Torah, the gift of religious royalty where we pledge our allegiance to God and His mitzvot. Torah is a commitment that demands of us to live our lives as the ‘chosen people’, tasked with upholding a pristine level of morality. I am writing this editorial while burning the midnight oil on a trip to New York. These past few days I have had the great privilege of attending an Olami summit with nearly thirteen hundred Jews from all over the world who came together to celebrate our holy heritage and Jewish destiny. The experience ignited a fiery commitment to continuing to bring the values of Torah to the Jewish people.
