Frequently Asked Questions

Maven
Gold Track
What is Maven?

Maven is a blended learning platform that merges world-class video content together with personal mentor guidance. Participants earn coins to earn rewards, perks & trip discounts.

What does Maven mean?

Derived from the Hebrew word “meiyvin” it means to know or understand. Mavens are information specialists: people we rely upon to connect us with new information. They accumulate knowledge and know how to share it with others.

What courses are currently on offer?

Check out the courses currently available "here"

Will there be more courses offered on Maven?

Absolutely. We are constantly filming and preparing new courses. If you have a suggestion for a subject for a course please let us know at: campus@aish.org.uk

I would like to switch courses:

No problem. You can simply apply to a new course using your same login details and start the new course at your own leisure.

I would like to switch my Mentor:

No problem at all. Please send an email to mentors@aish.org.uk to submit your request for a mentor change and we will get on it right away.

My Profile seems to have the wrong information on it:

Oh dear. Let’s see if we can fix it. Please use our chat function on our home page (www.aish.org.uk) to contact our support team who can help make it right.

What are Membership Levels?

As coins are earned, participants reach Membership Milestones to earn different levels of rewards, perks, & trip discounts.

Will I get coins if I don’t complete the course?

Coins are only awarded throughout the courses at different percentage milestones. You will receive an email informing you about any coins you are receiving.

How will I get my rewards?

You will automatically be rewarded aish coins, which will then be redeemable for e-vouchers off trips.

What is Gold Track?

Gold Track is a Aish on Campus program that rewards students with virtual "gold coins" for attending specific events. These coins unlock access to unique trips, activities, and exclusive Aish merchandise.

How do I earn gold coins?

Every time you attend a Gold Track event, you earn one gold coin, which will be added to your Aish account.

What can I do with my gold coins?

Gold coins give you access to special events and trips. For instance:

  • Shabbaton: Requires 4 gold coins
  • New York Trip: Requires 6 gold coins
  • Dry Slope Skiing Trip: Requires 3 gold coins

Some trips may also require a fee, but you’ll still need the gold coins to attend.

What are Gold Track events like?

Gold Track events are a mix of thought-provoking Jewish topics and fun social activities like cocktail making, pub quizzes, and more. You don’t have to attend all events – each event is stand-alone, so you can earn a coin each time you attend.

Where are Gold Track events held?

Gold Track events happen on your campus!

How many gold coins can I earn in a year?

There will be 12 Gold Track events throughout the academic year, giving you a chance to earn up to 12 gold coins.

What is the difference between Gold Coins and Aish Coins?

Gold coins are used to unlock access to trips and activities but can’t be "spent." Aish coins, on the other hand, are redeemable and can be used for e-vouchers and trip discounts. Each Gold Track event also awards you 5 Aish coins in addition to a gold coin.

Do I have to pay for Gold Track events?

Gold Track events themselves are free, but some trips might require additional payment even if you have the necessary gold coins.

Is there any exclusive merch for Gold Track members?

Yes! Students who sign up for Gold Track will receive exclusive Aish merchandise, like high-quality coffee cups, as a thank-you for joining the program.

Can I join Gold Track midway through the year?

Absolutely! Each Gold Track event is stand-alone, so you can start attending anytime and earn coins per event you attend.

How do I keep track of my coins?

All your gold and Aish coins will be tracked in your Aish account online, so you can easily see how many coins you’ve earned and what they can be redeemed for.

What happens to unused Aish coins?

Aish coins are redeemable and can be spent on vouchers or discounts for events and trips, so they don’t need to go unused. However, if you don’t spend them, they won’t carry over or accumulate beyond the academic year.
